Şeb-i Arus Special/Konya, Cappadocia and Hacı Bektaş Tour
Tour Detail
Prepare to witness that sacred night Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi called “my greatest wedding” and delve into the spiritual depths of Anatolia. The Şeb-i Arus Special Konya, Cappadocia and Hacı Bektaş Tour is an exclusive itinerary where spirituality, philosophy, and mystical nature come together to refresh your soul. The Heart of Reunion: Konya and Şeb-i Arus The central point of the tour is Konya, a symbol of tolerance and love. Witnessing the whirling dervishes turn in reverence during the Şeb-i Arus ceremonies held every year on December 17, commemorating Mevlana’s reunion with his Lord, is an unforgettable spiritual experience. Beginning with a visit to the Mevlana Museum and Lodge, this journey takes you in the footsteps of Shams of Tabriz as you walk the land where the philosophy “Come, whoever you are, come again” was born, and see the finest examples of the Anatolian Seljuk heritage. The Gate of Wisdom: Hacı Bektaş-ı Veli Another important stop on the journey is Hacı Bektaş, one of the architects of the Anatolian enlightenment, whose guiding principle was “Be master of your hands, your loins, and your tongue.” As you visit the Hacı Bektaş-ı Veli Museum and Complex, you will learn more about the roots of the culture of tolerance in this land and experience spiritual renewal in a peaceful atmosphere. Drinking from the Lion Fountain and seeing the humble living quarters of the dervishes will change your perspective on Anatolian wisdom. A Mystical Tale: Cappadocia We crown your spiritual journey with Cappadocia, home to some of the world’s most captivating natural formations. The fairy chimneys, which take on a completely different character beneath a white winter blanket or in a misty landscape, along with the vast underground cities and rock-hewn churches, complete the tour’s mystical atmosphere. Watching the sunset in Göreme’s unique valleys and experiencing the region’s thousands of years of history will add a fairytale dimension to your trip.
Highlights of the Tour: Şeb-i Arus Ceremonies; the opportunity to witness the most special ritual of Mevlevi culture firsthand. Spiritual Stops; a cultural discovery in the presence of Mevlana and Hacı Bektaş-ı Veli. Seljuk Heritage; architectural masterpieces such as Karatay Madrasa and the İnce Minaret Madrasa. Winter in Cappadocia; encounter the fairy chimneys at their most tranquil and mystical.
Why not embark on a journey filled with love and tolerance in the heart of Anatolia during this special time, when the soul reunites with the beloved?
